Isle of Wight Pride takes over Ryde on a Saturday in mid-July. It was held on 20 July 2024, 19 July 2025 and 18 July 2026, the third Saturday each time, so Saturday 17 July 2027 is likely. The organisers have not announced the 2027 date yet.
The day is free. The parade sets off at 11am, then the Pride Community Village on Ryde Esplanade runs into the evening with live music, drag acts and stalls from local groups and businesses. The 2026 listing gave the hours as 11am to 9pm. All the campsites near Ryde are a drive or bus ride out of town, so plan how you will get back after the last act.

Parking, buses and trains
Parking in Ryde is limited on the day because of the parade. The nearest pay and display car park is Quay Road, off the Esplanade behind the Superbowl. If it is full, the organisers suggest the park and ride at Ryde St John's Road station, then the Island Line train one stop to Ryde Esplanade.

Southern Vectis routes 2 and 3 pass Whitefield Forest, route 8 runs through Seaview and St Helens, and route 9 runs about every 10 minutes to Binstead and Wootton for Kite Hill Farm. Southern Vectis also runs night buses on Friday and Saturday nights. Island Line trains run to Brading, Sandown and Shanklin if you are staying further south.
Ferries
Ryde is the easiest place on the Island to reach on foot. The Hovertravel hovercraft from Southsea lands less than 10 minutes' walk from the village, and the Wightlink FastCat from Portsmouth reaches Ryde Pier Head, about 20 minutes away. In 2026 Wightlink took 20% off foot, car and motorcycle fares for travel between 17 and 19 July if you booked online and entered Isle of Wight Pride as the event name. It is the height of summer, so book car crossings early. See campsites near the Ryde ferries and the Fishbourne car ferry.
Making a weekend of it
Pride began as a small volunteer-led event, with the Island's first Pride parade in 2017, and has grown into an annual festival. Recent headliners have included Kimberly Wyatt in 2024 and La Voix in 2025. In 2024 an orchestral Symphonix Pride concert followed on the Sunday, a ticketed extra, so check the programme before you decide how many nights to book. See camping without a car.
