- Glamping
Warren Hill Camp is a deliberately small glamping site on an old dairy farm at Atherfield, in the quiet south-west of the island between Chale and Shorwell. There are four classic five-metre bell tents, two 'Lux Yurt Bells' (bell tent and yurt hybrids with no centre pole) and Willow, a shepherd's hut with its own kitchen.
The tents come furnished with proper beds and linen, 240V power, a mini fridge and cooking kit, but cooking happens outside or in the Rabbit Room, a converted barn with a communal kitchen and dining space, gas stoves and a tiny honesty shop. The same barn has the showers and toilets plus a private family shower room. Two shared fire pits, one by the pond and one in the woods, are the evening gathering spots.
The tents run through the summer (roughly May to September); Willow stays open into spring and autumn, when its guests have the whole site to themselves. It is a dog-free site, takes a maximum of three tents per booking unless you hire the whole site, and Compton Bay is about 18 minutes' drive.
- Only seven units on the whole site
- Shared fire pits by the pond and in the woods
- Communal Rabbit Room kitchen in a converted barn
- Whole-site hire for gatherings
- Ferry discounts with Red Funnel and Wightlink
