Gurnard Pines is a large estate of timber chalets set in around 55 acres of private woodland on Cockleton Lane, between Gurnard and Northwood, with a nature trail, a small lake and resident red squirrels. Gurnard beach and the sailing scene at Cowes are a short walk or drive away.

It was long run as a holiday village with a central leisure complex, but the pool and gym closed in 2023 when the complex lease was forfeited, and the owners said the pool would not reopen. Today the chalets are owned individually: some are lived in, and others are let as holiday homes through owners and holiday-letting websites. There are no touring or camping pitches, and the estate operates a strict no-pets policy to protect the squirrels.
