The Ark Park is a small, family-run glamping site on Pallance Lane, Northwood, on the southern edge of Cowes. The owner and her son turned the idea of a walk-in pig ark into holiday accommodation, building the first family ark in 2016 and adding couples' arks with wood-fired hot tubs over the following years. There are only around five units on more than nine acres, so the site is spacious and quiet.
Every ark has bedding, a woodburner, solar lighting, a deck, an outdoor cooking shelter with gas hob, fridge and sink, a fire pit, and its own camping or compost toilet. A shared cabin at the entrance has two flushing toilets and a hot shower. There is no mains electricity. The farm keeps Gloucester Old Spot pigs, chickens, Shetland cattle, sheep, turkeys and bees, and sells eggs, bacon, sausages, burgers and honey on site. Dogs are welcome because the site is fully enclosed.
