Chine Farm Caravan and Camping Park

Chine Farm is a big, open camping field on the seaward side of the Military Road near Atherfield, between Brighstone and Chale. Campers describe very spacious pitches with room to park beside a large family tent, basic but clean toilet and shower facilities, and a small reception selling a few groceries. A short walk leads down to the shingle and sand beach below the cliffs, and the coast path runs past.

It is a no-frills site with a reputation for peace at night and excellent stargazing thanks to the lack of light pollution. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are taken; listings disagree on whether electric hook-ups are offered, so ask when booking.
