Borthwood Caravans occupies a large field next to Queen Bower Farm, a small family farm in quiet countryside between Newchurch and Sandown. Pitches are a mix of flat and gently sloping grass with hook-ups and plenty of room for awnings, and there is an exclusive-use WC.

National Trust Borthwood Copse and a web of footpaths start next door, the Alverstone Mead reserve and the cycleway to Newport are close, and two pubs, the Fighting Cocks and the Pointers, are nearby. Fresh eggs are on sale and the owners offer massage and holistic treatments on site. Dogs stay free.
