Sunrise Hill Campsite

Off-grid summer field on the edge of Brading for families and couples, with campfires allowed, compost loos and a walk into the village.

  • Some dogs
  • Campfires
  • Glamping

Sunrise Hill is a summer-holidays pop-up in a hedged field on Rowborough Lane, just outside Brading on the Ryde road. Tall leylandii shelter the pitches, parts of the field are being left wild for flowers and insects, and the village pubs, shops, chip shop and railway station are a few minutes on foot.

Facilities are simple and off-grid: composting toilets, a warm shower and drinking water, with no hook-ups and no bins (you take your rubbish home). Campfires are allowed off the ground, firepits can be hired and firewood is sold. It takes families and couples only, with tents, trailer tents and campervans, and in 2025 also offered two bell tents. Sandown's beaches are about five minutes' drive.
