Ninham is a family-run camping and touring park on a 200-acre farm between Apse Heath and Shanklin, laid out in a wooded valley with around 10 acres of orchard-style grounds. Pitches are grass, generously sized and allocated by the owners, with formal pitching rules so every unit has space and a fire break.
It is aimed squarely at quiet family holidays: no clubhouse, bar or shop, no groups, quiet time from 9pm, and cars are parked by your unit but not used to drive around the site. In return you get modern solar-heated wash blocks, a heated outdoor pool in summer, play areas, table tennis and badminton, and footpaths and bridleways straight off the farm down to Sandown Bay. The site runs on renewable electricity and recycling is compulsory.
