Kingswood Bembridge (glamping)

Kingswood runs a residential outdoor activity centre for school and youth groups in the old Bembridge School buildings on Hillway Road, on the cliffs above Whitecliff Bay. In the school holidays it has offered family glamping in six-metre bell tents on one of its fields, previously sold through Pitchup under the name Inspiring Learning Bembridge.

The tents were furnished with futon beds made up on arrival, solar electricity, a private day room with tea and coffee and power sockets, and a toilet and shower for each party's sole use. Tents were spread well apart, and guests could book kayaking, high ropes and zip wire at a discount.

It is not currently bookable on Pitchup and Kingswood's own site only advertises school and group residentials, so check before planning a stay.
