West Wight Bells
A single bell tent in its own paddock on Westover Farm near Calbourne, with a farm footpath up to the Tennyson Trail; simple, dog-friendly and off grid.
- Dogs welcome
- Glamping
West Wight Bells is one bell tent pitched in a private paddock on a working arable farm on the edge of Calbourne. It is about as simple as glamping gets: a double airbed with bedding (two single airbeds can be added), chairs, a gas stove and cooking kit inside the tent, an outdoor tap with mains water and a basic portable toilet. There is no shower or hot water.
The appeal is the setting. A footpath runs from the farm up to the Tennyson Trail and the West Wight downs, Compton Bay and Freshwater Bay are around ten minutes' drive, and Newport is about fifteen. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. It is listed on Airbnb and Pitchup, but Pitchup does not take bookings for it.
