The Orchards Holiday Park
Family holiday park in old apple orchards at Newbridge with indoor and outdoor pools, about 120 touring pitches and holiday caravans to hire.
- Dogs welcome
- Pool
The Orchards is an independent family park on around 15 acres of former apple orchard in the hamlet of Newbridge, inland from Shalfleet in the west of the island. Touring and camping guests have four sloping, terraced paddocks with countryside views towards the Solent; every pitch has 10 amp electric, many have gravel or concrete hardstanding and some are fully serviced with water and drain.
The barn-style facilities centre has underfloor heating, private cubicles, a family bathroom, accessible showers and toilets, a laundry and washing-up area. On site there is an indoor pool open all season, an outdoor pool heated from late May to early September, a shop with island produce, a pizza and grill takeaway, games rooms, two play areas, a secure dog exercise area and two EV chargers.
There are also about 65 two- and three-bedroom holiday caravans to rent, several of them dog friendly and two adapted for wheelchair users, plus a four-bedroom stone house. Fire pits are banned, and the park sees itself as a quiet family site, so it is not the place for stag and hen groups. The number 7 bus stops at the entrance.
- Indoor pool plus a heated outdoor pool in summer
- All touring pitches have electric included
- Two wheelchair-adapted holiday caravans
- Secure dog exercise area and two dogs free on pitches
- Ferry booking discounts arranged by the park
