Far Out Retreat is a former static caravan park on the quiet, dead-end stretch of Undercliff Drive between Niton and St Lawrence, now cut back to a small adults-only site. Most of the old caravans have gone to open up the sea views, leaving two individually themed caravans, two well-insulated shepherd's huts and the owners' house among wildflower planting above Binnel Bay.

Each unit sleeps two and has its own garden area. The caravans are named after crystals and decorated to match: Citrine has a cliff-edge double plot with decking and a fire pit. The shepherd's huts, Daisy and Bumble Bee, were hand-built by a boat builder from reclaimed timber and share an outdoor kitchen, BBQ area, fire pit, outdoor bath and dining pod, with an indoor shower and toilet. There is a laundry room and free parking. The road is closed at the Ventnor end, so cars must come in via Niton, which keeps it very quiet.
