Chapelfurlong Farm
Basic summer pop-up field on a working farm at Hulverstone with sea views, campfires allowed and the pub five minutes' walk away.
- Dogs welcome
- Campfires
Chapelfurlong Farm runs a simple pop-up campsite in summer on its family farm at Hulverstone, between Brook and Brighstone, with sea views across the West Wight. Pitching areas are sheltered but some ground slopes, and facilities are basic: toilets (unisex), drinking water and a washing-up point, with no showers on site.
Campfires and barbecues are allowed and dogs are welcome, though breeds covered by the Dangerous Dogs Act are not. Brook beach, with its fossil forest, is about 25 minutes' walk, Compton Bay and the long sands towards Brighstone are a few minutes' drive, and the village pub is around five minutes away on foot. Parts of the field are unlit, so bring a torch.
