Five grass pitches on half an acre of lawn at a small farm in Merstone, near the centre of the Isle of Wight. The ground looks flat but has a slight fall, so bring levelling blocks; the sandy soil drains well. There are hook-ups, a purpose-built chemical emptying point, recycling and room for awnings, plus a pet sheep in the next paddock.

Being central it makes a handy base for touring the whole island. Godshill is about 2.5 miles away, Newport and its supermarkets about four, and the old railway cycle tracks are close by. Buses stop just down the road. Adults only and no dogs.
