Bus route 9: Newport to Wootton, Binstead and Ryde, and the campsites on it

Route 9 is the most frequent bus between the Island's two biggest towns, Newport and Ryde, by way of Wootton Bridge and Binstead. Out of Newport it splits two ways: some buses go via Seaclose, the Medina Leisure Centre and Fairlee Road, the others via Staplers, Monkey Haven and Wootton station on the steam railway. Both meet again in Wootton.

Monday to Saturday in the daytime there is a bus about every 10 minutes, so every 20 minutes on each branch. On Sundays it is every 15 minutes. The timetable was unchanged for summer 2026 and on the winter timetable from 27 September 2026.
