ViewThe Needles Breezer is Southern Vectis's open-top bus in the West Wight. It is a loop that starts and ends at Yarmouth bus station, by the Lymington ferry. It runs out through Afton to Freshwater Bay, Freshwater and Totland, then on to Alum Bay. From Alum Bay it climbs the narrow road up to the Needles Battery and comes back down. It comes back to Yarmouth through Totland, Colwell and Norton.
In summer 2026 it ran every 30 minutes, daily from 28 March to 26 September. Until 1 November 2026 it runs every hour on its autumn timetable. It then stops for winter and returns in spring 2027.

The Breezer is not part of the Government's £3 fare cap, and concessionary bus passes are not accepted. Ordinary Rover tickets do not cover it. For 2026, a 24 Hour Rover + Breezer costs £15.50 on the app or £16.20 on paper for an adult, and £8.50 or £8.90 for a child aged 5 to 16. A 48 Hour Rover + Breezer is £19.80 or £20.50. A paper Over 60 ticket costs £9.70. Single fares are sold by the driver for short hops.
The loop runs one way, so the campsites at Colwell and Norton are served only on the way back to Yarmouth. Going out, the bus passes Stoats Farm and the Freshwater Camp Equipment Trust field.

Up to two dogs normally travel free on Southern Vectis buses, off the seats. Luggage is carried where it is safe. Folding bikes are allowed if there is room. Electric bikes and scooters are not allowed.
