With a tent, the question is how you get back after the fireworks. Waverley Park is the easy one: during Cowes Week 2026 the Floating Bridge ran until 01:25, and from the East Cowes side it is a short climb up Old Road to the tent field. Prince's Green is about 35 minutes away on foot.
Comforts Farm at Northwood is about 4km from the Parade, roughly an hour's walk back and mostly uphill, or a route 1 bus towards Newport and half a mile on foot. The field is lined with trees and old coppice, which helps on a breezy night, but the farm asks for quiet after 10pm, so creep in.
Further out, Thorness Bay's grass pitches are cheap but the nearest bus is about 1.7 miles away, and Last Post CS has no showers. If you are coming over on the Red Jet, see taking a tent on the ferry.
