Cheap campsites near Cowes Week, Isle of Wight

Of the 9 campsites within 3.5 miles of Cowes Week, 3 are the budget choices, from about £25 a night or less for two.

Cowes Week costs nothing to watch. The racing starts off the Royal Yacht Squadron and you can follow it from the Parade, Prince's Green and the seafront west to Egypt Point. The final Friday fireworks are free too: in 2026 the biggest crowd was on Prince's Green, and the East Cowes Esplanade was closed to traffic for spectators.

Getting there is the real cost. Red Funnel's Super Off-Peak Day Return, £14 an adult in 2026, could not be used from Southampton from 1 to 7 August 2026, the week of the regatta, so price an ordinary return. On the island, single bus fares stayed at £3 in 2026 under the government scheme, and an adult 24-hour Rover was £11.40 on the app from 30 August 2026. A foot passenger on the Floating Bridge paid £1 each way without a Saver Card, or £1.50 return.

For the pitch, Comforts Farm charges one flat fee for two adults and two children, with hook-up £5 extra, so a family that skips the power saves again. More ideas in cheap camping on the Isle of Wight.
