Motorhome and campervan sites near Cowes Week, Isle of Wight

Of the 9 campsites within 3.5 miles of Cowes Week, 5 take motorhomes or campervans.

There is nowhere to leave a motorhome on the Cowes waterfront during the regatta. The council lists Brunswick Road and Mornington Road car parks in Cowes, and Maresfield Road in East Cowes, as taking motorhomes, with no height barrier, but sleeping and cooking in council car parks are not allowed. Mornington Road is about 200m from Prince's Green, and Queens Road, which runs along the green, closed from about 5pm on fireworks night in 2026, so park early or not at all.

It is simpler to leave the van on a pitch. The Floating Bridge does not take motorhomes, so from the East Cowes ferry it is Waverley Park on the near bank or a drive round through Newport to the Cowes side. The Hydeaway has gravel campervan pitches but no hook-up and no reception. At Thorness Bay the Cedar pitches are for motorhomes and campervans only.

From Comforts Farm the route 1 bus is about half a mile from the gate, and Southern Vectis ran extra buses on fireworks night in 2026. See the motorhome and campervan guide.
