Tent options close to the Fringe are thin, and the nearest comes with a catch. New Bank End Farm at St Lawrence is about 22 minutes' walk from Ventnor Park, but it has no toilets or showers. Tents are allowed only if you bring your own toilet and wash kit.
With proper facilities, Appuldurcombe Gardens at Wroxall is about 3.3 km from Ventnor Park on foot, over the shoulder of the down. Allow about an hour, and use the route 3 bus after dark. Note that it allows no pitching after 9pm. Rusty Meadow, south of Godshill, has compost loos but no showers.
