Dog friendly campsites near the Isle of Wight Festival, Isle of Wight

Of the 15 campsites within 3.1 miles of the Isle of Wight Festival, 11 take dogs.

Dogs cannot come to the festival. Animals and pets are banned from both the arena and the campsite, and the only exception is an assistance dog approved in advance. So a dog-friendly pitch nearby only works if someone in your party skips the music, or you arrange a sitter. Check each site's rules on leaving a dog alone before you book.

Getting the dog across is easy. Wightlink and Red Funnel both carry dogs free, with pet lounges on the car ferries; on Wightlink you tell them when you book. For walks, Firestone Copse woodland runs alongside Kite Hill Farm at Wootton, and Windmill Campersite at Carisbrooke lists a 20-acre field around the castle for dogs. Our camping with dogs guide covers beaches and their summer dog bans.
