Campsites near the Isle of Wight Festival where you can have a campfire, Isle of Wight

Of the 15 campsites within 3.1 miles of the Isle of Wight Festival, 8 allow campfires in some form.

There are no campfires at Seaclose Park. Firewood is on the festival's banned list for the arena and the campsite, gas canisters must be 300g or under and used only in the designated areas, and disposable BBQs are allowed only in designated areas of the campsite. If an evening round a fire is part of your festival, you have to sleep off-site.

The sites with fires are mostly north of Newport, towards Wootton and Northwood. Wild Oak Farm at Great Briddlesford is the one where you can light a fire on your own pitch, but it has no showers and only five pitches. Oakdene Orchard gives every pitch its own fire pit and bench. Windmill Campersite at Carisbrooke has a communal fire pit with free wood, coal and firelighters. Comforts Farm at Northwood allows fires only in a container at least 300mm off the ground, which is an insurance rule, so bring a raised fire bowl. Our campfires and BBQs guide covers the rest of the Island.
