Of the 14 campsites within 1.5 miles of the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally, 11 take motorhomes or campervans.
Plenty of scooterists come by van, with the scooter on a rack or a trailer behind. A 2024 visitor guide said campervans on the rally camp at Sandown Airport had to be booked in advance (from £30 in 2023), so check with VFM for the current price. If you would rather have hook-up and a shower block, there are eleven sites within about 1.5 miles.
Length matters here. Willow Brook takes vans up to 6.5m. Ninham has separate large motorhome pitches for vans over 6.5m and asks you to phone before booking over 7.5m. Southland at Newchurch takes up to 8m, has 42 hardstandings, and has the only service point on this list. The Wightlink 2026 rally offer covered cars and motorcycles but not motorhomes. Our motorhome guide covers ferries and roads.
