Of the 14 campsites within 1.5 miles of the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally, 6 are the budget choices, from about £25 a night or less for two.
The cheapest way to do the rally is to camp at it. In 2026 the £35 weekend wristband from VFM covered camping at Sandown Airport as well as the bands, the custom show and the trade village. A 2024 visitor guide said a car or van paid £10 extra to park for the weekend, and that only cash was taken at the gate.
A pitch off-site makes sense if you want a shower without a queue or a quiet night, but bank holiday weekend is peak season, so expect more than the low-season from prices. For the crossing, Wightlink gave 20% off foot, car and motorcycle fares in 2026 for travel from 27 August to 1 September, booked online with "IOW Scooter Rally" in the event box. Our cheap camping guide has more ways to save.
