Dog friendly campsites near the Isle of Wight Challenge, Isle of Wight

Of the 11 campsites within 2.8 miles of the Isle of Wight Challenge, 6 take dogs.

Leave the dog out of the challenge itself. Ultra Challenge says no dogs or pets are allowed at any event venue, including the campsites, so a dog cannot stay at Chale basecamp or the Cowes Showground. If your dog is coming on the trip, it needs a dog-friendly site and someone to stay with it while you walk.

There are a few near Chale. Kingates Farm's shepherd's hut takes up to two adult dogs free, with a warm outdoor dog shower and paddocks. Sibbecks Farm takes dogs at £25 each, but they stay on a lead in shared areas because the hedges are not dog-proof and there is livestock about. Downsview CL asks for dogs to be tethered on site. Camp Corve takes one dog per pitch. Warren Hill Camp, Puckaster Cove and Kingston Smallholding take no dogs. More in our camping with dogs guide.
