Of the 11 campsites within 1.7 miles of the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival, 8 take motorhomes or campervans.
Parking in the fields next to the festival is free, so you can drive over for the day, but only traders may camp on site. The festival is on the main Newport to Sandown road at the Fighting Cocks crossroads, and most of the sites here are on lanes just off it.
Southland at Newchurch is the best equipped: 42 hardstandings, room for vans up to 8m and the only motorhome service point on this list. It is about 15 minutes' walk from the festival. For something smaller, Alverstone Ponds has five hardstandings with their own tap and grey drain, and Borthwood Caravans has five grass pitches with 16A hook-up. Both are members-only CLs.
