Of the 11 campsites within 1.7 miles of the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival, 8 take touring caravans.
The Garlic Festival has camping only for its traders, so a caravan needs a touring pitch nearby. The good news is that the Arreton Valley has more of them than anywhere else on the Island, and several are under a mile from the Fighting Cocks crossroads. Mid-August is the peak of the summer holidays, so hook-up pitches go first.
Three of the eight are members-only certificated sites: Borthwood Caravans and Alverstone Ponds are Caravan and Motorhome Club CLs, and Dairymans Daughter Cottage is a Camping and Caravanning Club CS, so join the right club before you book. Southland, the Club's own site at Newchurch, takes non-members too, but members saved £15 a night there in 2026. Village Way at Apse Heath was put up for sale in July 2026 and may not be trading.
