Of the 11 campsites within 1.7 miles of the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival, 5 are good for families.
The Garlic Festival works well with children: the site is smaller than most festivals, so they are less likely to get lost, and under-5s go free. In 2025 the Camp Garlic area had free arts and crafts, circus skills, games, archery with Wight Bowmen and Scout-led activities, and the festival has run a funfair in past years. There is a large picnic area with tables, and you can bring your own food, but no alcohol or glass.
For a family base, Southland at Newchurch is the obvious choice: level pitches, a big playground, and about 15 minutes' walk to the festival along the lanes. The Club ran a Kids for £1 offer there in 2026. The Garlic Farm Yurts have a games room, tennis court and football pitch, and the farm restaurant is on site.
