Its pitches are level and sheltered by hedges. Single nights cannot be pre-booked but are paid on arrival, so it works for a walker passing through.
Lucketts Farm at Bouldnor takes up to ten tents alongside its five vans, for Camping and Caravanning Club members only. It is on the main road east of Yarmouth, and route 7's Shalfleet buses stop at the gate, so you can ride into Yarmouth and walk the 2km of coast path west to the fort.
Off the Lymington boat without a car, the fort is about 2km from the ramp on foot. Wightlink's last sailing from Lymington was about 21:00 in autumn 2026, while Heathfield takes no arrivals after 7.30pm and Stoats Farm none after 8pm, so an evening crossing needs planning.
