ViewOf the 9 campsites within 3.1 miles of Fort Victoria, 4 take touring caravans.
Fort Victoria is an easy day out once the caravan is pitched. The country park is about 2km west of the Yarmouth ferry, off Westhill Lane, and its car park was still free in October 2026, though the council proposed charges there in its 2026/27 budget. There is no camping in the park itself.
Four sites are in range, either side of Yarmouth. Heathfield Farm is the nearest, about 25 to 30 minutes on foot via Colwell Bay and the coast path, so the car can stay on the pitch. East of Yarmouth, Lucketts Farm at Bouldnor is a five-van Camping and Caravanning Club site. Stoats Farm at Totland and The Bungalow CL above Freshwater Bay are further away.
From Lymington, Wightlink adds a charge for the towed caravan, measured with tow bar and bikes, and vehicles with trailers cannot buy Priority Boarding. Heading west off the boat you cross the Yar swing bridge, which opens for boats at fixed times in summer. See the touring caravan guide.

Yes, at Stoats Farm Caravan and Camping and Lucketts Farm Campsite. Most want fires in a raised pit, not on the ground.
