ViewOf the 9 campsites within 3.1 miles of Fort Victoria, 4 take motorhomes or campervans.
Fort Victoria has one of the few free car parks in the West Wight, which makes it a good daytime stop in a motorhome. The council still listed it as free in October 2026, but its 2026/27 budget proposed adding pay-and-display there, so read the signs. Visit Isle of Wight lists coach parking at the park. You cannot stay the night: the country park does not offer camping.
For the night, Heathfield Farm is about 2km south, and the van can stay on the pitch while you walk to the fort via Colwell Bay in 25 to 30 minutes. For water and grey waste on the pitch, Stoats Farm at Totland has fully serviced pitches. East of Yarmouth, Lucketts Farm at Bouldnor has hook-ups on some grass pitches for Camping and Caravanning Club members.
From the Yarmouth ramp the fort is about 2km. Wightlink's Motorhome Special is not valid from 07:55 to 14:59 Monday to Saturday. See the motorhome guide.
