ViewOf the 11 campsites within 2.3 miles of the Royal Isle of Wight County Show, 5 take motorhomes or campervans.
Parking in the show field is free, so a motorhome can come for the day, but there is no camping at the showground, so you need a pitch for the night. The route 1 bus passes the gate about every 10 minutes, so once you are parked up you can leave the van.
Only five sites here take vans, and they vary a lot. The Hydeaway has gravel campervan pitches but no hook-up, and we could not confirm it was trading in 2026. Last Post CS has hardstanding but no toilets or showers. Springfield Oaks has serviced pitches but no toilet block either. Comforts Farm has showers and is the only one you can walk from. The Isle of Wight Festival campervan field shows up nearby on the map, but it only opens in festival week in June. Book early: the Round the Island Race starts off Cowes on the show's first day in 2027. See our motorhome guide.
