Time your boat to the campsite's check-in. Waverley Park's reception is unmanned after 5pm, so ring ahead if you are on an evening Red Jet. At Comforts Farm, late arrivals pitch in the middle of the field away from the hook-ups and check in next morning. The Hydeaway takes arrivals from 3pm to 8pm and Pigsty Farm from noon to 8pm.
A bike widens the choice. The Red Jet's racks take bikes up to 25kg, and Pigsty Farm, about 7km from the terminal, is tents only with 10m by 10m pitches, compost loos and a hot shower. That is a long walk with a pack but a fair ride.
