Dogs travel free on the Red Jet, with no ticket needed. Red Funnel asks for a collar or harness and a lead on board, and dogs keep off the seats. If you are on the car ferry instead, Red Eagle, Red Osprey and Red Falcon have a pet lounge, the North Lounge on deck A.
You step off at Fountain Quay into the middle of West Cowes, where dogs must be on a lead on roads and pavements. The beaches at Cowes, East Cowes and Gurnard have dog exclusion zones from 1 May to 30 September, so in summer the dog walk is somewhere else.
