The Red Jet carries no vehicles, so motorhomes come over on Red Funnel's car ferry to East Cowes, about an hour from Southampton, or with Wightlink. The Red Jet earns its place once you are here: leave the van on its pitch and you can be in Southampton in 28 minutes for a day out.
If you drive into West Cowes to meet someone off the Red Jet, the council lists Brunswick Road car park, about 650m from the terminal, as taking motorhomes, with perimeter bays and no height barrier. The whole van must fit inside the marked bay, and sleeping or cooking in council car parks is not allowed.
