From the Red Funnel ramp, Waverley Park is about 800m up Castle Street and Old Road, so the tow is over almost before it starts. Last Post CS on Fairlee Road is on the same east bank of the Medina, about 6km by road, but it is for Camping and Caravanning Club members, with no toilets or showers.
Comforts Farm is across the river at Northwood. The Floating Bridge does not take caravans, so you tow round through Newport. From 28 September 2026, for about six months with a break at Christmas, Island Roads is replacing the bearings on the Medina Way bridge there. One lane is closed for about five weeks on each carriageway, southbound from about mid-November and northbound from about mid-January on current estimates, with some overnight closures.
Late boats are common in summer. Waverley Park's reception is unmanned after 5pm, so let the site know your sailing. Comforts Farm lets guests off late ferries leave the caravan in a quiet spot and check in next morning.
