Osborne itself is no place for a fire. English Heritage does not allow barbecues, smoking, vaping or naked flames on the estate, Queen Victoria's beach included. Picnics are fine, with tables around the grounds and a family picnic area by the play area, so take lunch and save the fire for the campsite.

Oakdene Orchard gives every pitch its own fire pit and bench, and The Woodland Retreat at Fishbourne lists campfires, but neither was taking bookings on Pitchup when we checked, so confirm before you plan around them. Into the Woods has a firebowl on the Shepherd's Hideaway deck and a shared barbecue area.
Across the Medina, Comforts Farm allows fires only in a container at least 300mm off the ground, and The Ark Park's only fires are the pits by each ark. Both are reached from Osborne by the Floating Bridge.
