Appuldurcombe is the rare landmark with a touring park on the same lane. Appuldurcombe Gardens is about 10 minutes' walk from the house, and every pitch has 10 amp hook-up. You can choose plain grass, grass with a shared tap, hardstanding in the streamside meadow or fully serviced pitches with water and grey waste, for supplements of £2 to £4 a night in 2026. Bookings are capped at three pitches per party, and stays at two weeks in high season.

The park and the house sit in the valley on the edge of Wroxall, so you reach them on the inland roads. Avoid towing through Ventnor, where the roads have steep, tight bends, and remember that Undercliff Drive between St Lawrence and Niton has been closed since 2014.

Other options are a short drive. Ninham, between Apse Heath and Shanklin, takes outfits up to 7.5m and asks you to call first if yours is longer.
